Explosions, Shelling by Israeli Enemy Target Towns in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli enemy army carried out on Sunday a series of explosions and shelling targeting a number of towns in southern Lebanon, continuing Zionist violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that the Israeli enemy army conducted a series of violent explosions in Mays al-Jabal, Aitaroun, and Baraashit, whose echoes were heard across southern Lebanon.

It stated that the Ali al-Taher highland on the outskirts of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa was subjected to heavy artillery shelling by the Zionist enemy army, while other artillery shelling targeted the town of Mays al-Jabal.

Since March 2 of last year, the Israeli enemy has escalated its criminal aggression on Lebanon, targeting Lebanese towns, villages, cities, and civilian properties, resulting in hundreds of martyrs, thousands of wounded, and the displacement of approximately one and a half million Lebanese citizens, the majority of whom are not registered in shelters.

On June 18 of this year, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the Islamabad memorandum of understanding was signed electronically between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and included a ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon. However, the Israeli enemy army continues to commit daily violations of the agreement.
