With massive crowds, Yemenis took to the streets in Sana’a and other governorates, carrying the Holy Quran in their hands and brandishing their weapons against the American-Zionist enemy, warning of the consequences of its repeated offenses against the most sacred Islamic sanctity—the Holy Quran.
The Yemeni mobilization and alertness in support of the Quran and Palestine is a call for vigilance and a religious duty to confront the Zionist-American war against Islam and Muslims.
What is particularly striking is the negative stance of Arab and Islamic countries toward a matter that touches their religion in general, and the Quran specifically—especially Saudi Arabia, which fate has made the center of Islam, hosting Mecca, the Kaaba, Medina, and the Prophet’s Mosque. This position entails exceptional religious and moral responsibilities that must be undertaken to protect Islam and its sacred sites.
From time to time, the media reports deliberate insults against Islam and Islamic symbols in European capitals and American cities, in addition to intentional targeting by the Zionist movement. This issue has taken on the character of a civilizational and religious struggle between colonial powers, which have lost their former colonies whose resources they plundered, and now seek to return by other means to continue organized imperialist exploitation of countries’ wealth and manipulate their political systems to follow Western dictates on what should and should not be.
The latest of such provocations was the desecration of the Holy Quran in the United States, prompting Yemenis to express their anger over this heinous act.
The ongoing insults to Islamic symbols and sacred sites cannot diminish the status of the Quran in the hearts of believers; rather, they reveal the depth of Zionist-American and Western European hatred and hostility toward Islam and Muslims.
The appalling silence of the Al Saud regime on this sensitive Islamic issue falls within the framework of complicity with colonial powers and their deliberate, repeated offenses against Islam and Islamic sanctities. Accountability also extends to the other Gulf states, which have lost their moral compass, strayed far from the true path of Islam, and are living in a deplorable state of ethical and moral collapse.
