FM calls on Pakistan & Afghanistan to resolve differences peacefully

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed that the Republic of Yemen is following with deep concern the ongoing developments and military escalation between Pakistan , Afghanistan, and the potentially serious repercussions that could threaten the security of both countries and the stability of the region.

In a statement , the Ministry urged Pakistan and Afghanistan to prioritize dialogue, exercise restraint, and resolve their differences through peaceful means.

The Ministry also expressed confidence in the wisdom of the leaderships of both countries and their awareness of the schemes being plotted against the Islamic nation by global Zionism and its affiliates, aimed at sowing division and igniting conflicts.

It pointed out that the current stage requires joint efforts to thwart such schemes and to avoid being drawn into actions that could deepen divisions or undermine the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation.

The Ministry further called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the two countries’ neighboring Islamic states to assume their role in bringing viewpoints closer together and exerting good offices to contain the crisis, in a manner that preserves the fraternal and historical relations between the two countries and enhances security and stability in the region.
