Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates reaffirmed its support for the Palestinian factions in defending the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights at the negotiating table, following their resistance on the ground.
In a statement issued Monday, the ministry said it is closely monitoring the ongoing ceasefire negotiations in Cairo between the Palestinian factions, mediators, and guarantors.
The ministry condemned what it described as Israel’s continued daily violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and its efforts to undermine the deal by imposing new realities on the ground. It warned that continued pressure on the Palestinian side serves Israeli objectives in Gaza.
The statement also warned that ongoing Israeli actions and what it described as acts of genocide could trigger renewed escalation in Gaza.
The ministry urged mediators and the international community to pressure Israel to fully implement the first phase of the ceasefire agreement before proceeding to the second phase.
It also reaffirmed Yemen’s longstanding support for the Palestinian cause and its backing of the Palestinian people’s struggle to regain their legitimate rights and establish an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
