The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates congratulated the liberation of Palestinian prisoners from Zionist prisons as part of the exchange operation carried out under the terms set by the resistance.
In a statement issued today, the Ministry affirmed that this achievement is the result of the unparalleled sacrifices and steadfastness of the Palestinian people in modern history.
The statement noted that the occupying entity failed to secure the release of its captives through military force, despite the unlimited support it receives from the United States. This, it added, proves that the Zionist entity will not refrain from its oppression and aggression except through strength — the only path to victory.
The Ministry also recalled the Zionist entity’s criminal record of torturing prisoners through various physical and psychological means, in blatant violation of international humanitarian law, particularly the Third Geneva Convention of 1949.
The statement described the continued detention of thousands of prisoners and their exposure to heinous abuses as a full-fledged war crime, calling on the international community to take effective action to pressure the occupying authorities to release all Palestinian prisoners.
The Ministry reaffirmed the Republic of Yemen’s leadership, government, and people’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle to establish an independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
