The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has mourned the passing of senior resistance figure Haitham Ali al-Tabtabai, who was killed in Israeli airstrikes after a life marked by struggle, sacrifice, and resistance to the occupying entity.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Abdulwahid Abu Ras praised in his condolence statement the role of al-Tabtabai in defending Lebanon and supporting the Palestinian resistance and the broader axis of resistance.
He stressed that the martyrdom of resistance leaders will only strengthen their resilience and determination to continue their struggle until victory is achieved.
Abu Ras affirmed that the policy of assassinations and the perpetration of crimes only reflect the weakness and failure of the Israeli entity on the battlefield, and clearly demonstrate the threat it poses to the region’s security and stability, noting that it understands nothing but the heroic message of October 7.
He expressed regret over the disengagement of some Arab and Islamic regimes, and the complicity of others, regarding the grave crimes committed by Israel in Palestine and Lebanon, as well as the international community’s silence and double standards.
Abu Ras reiterated Yemen’s solidarity with the brotherly Lebanese people and their brave resistance, emphasizing that Lebanon’s unity remains the rock on which all Zionist conspiracies will be shattered.
He extended his deepest condolences and sympathy to Hezbollah, the axis of resistance, and the Lebanese people on this loss, praying that God grant the martyr and his companions mercy and the highest place in Paradise among the righteous.
