Foreign Ministry welcomes expulsion of US occupier from Iraq

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates congratulated the Iraqi people including the Popular Mobilization Forces and the resistance on Thursday, on the expulsion of the US occupiers from Iraq.

In a statement, the Ministry affirmed that this great victory and significant achievement would not have been possible without the tireless and continuous efforts of the Iraqi resistance, which has relentlessly challenged the Americans throughout the years since the occupation began.

The statement noted that this historic achievement follows years of patience, steadfastness, and suffering with Abu Ghraib prison standing as one such testament. It emphasized that the expulsion of the US occupiers confirms that foreign occupation, no matter how long it lasts, is destined to end, and that the will of the people ultimately triumphs.

The Ministry reiterated the Republic of Yemen’s firm stance in support of Iraq’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, wishing the brotherly nation of Iraq security, stability, and prosperity.
