Gaza Health Ministry: 10,000 Surgeries at Risk of Being Halted

The Director of the Department of Care and Pharmacy at the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Alaa Helles, warned on Monday that 10,000 surgeries are at risk of being halted or affected due to shortages of necessary supplies and medications, this shortage is a result of the continued Israeli blockade preventing the entry of essential supplies to hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

Heles told the Palestinian news agency Safa: “The crisis in the Strip’s hospitals has reached a level that exceeds acceptable limits for medical supplies.”
