Gaza Health Ministry: Over 500 killed since ceasefire, 60% children & women

Dr. Munir Al-Bersh, Director General of Gaza’s Health Ministry, reported today,Sunday that more than 500 people have been killed since the ceasefire, 60% of them children and women.

He said the enemy continues to violate the agreement, with recent attacks killing over 32 people in one day.

Al-Bersh warned that over 20,000 patients, including 4,500 children and 4,000 cancer patients, are waiting at the Rafah crossing for medical treatment. In the past 21 months, only 3,100 patients were able to travel, while 1,300 died waiting.

He called for the immediate opening of the crossing to relieve Gaza’s overwhelmed healthcare system and ensure access to medicine and medical care, noting that continued restrictions are a “death sentence” for thousands.
