Major General Abdul Latif Al-Mahdi, Commander of the Fourth Military Region, affirmed that Yemen’s Armed Forces are at the highest level of readiness to counter enemy plots and foil the schemes of traitors and mercenaries.
Speaking during an extensive meeting in Taiz with the governor, scholars, officials, and community leaders, Al-Mahdi praised the steadfastness of Taiz residents in resisting conspiracies. He noted that security and military institutions continue to closely monitor hostile elements working to undermine national stability.
The meeting also reviewed preparations for commemorating the Prophet’s birthday, emphasizing joint coordination between official, military, and popular committees to mark the occasion in a manner reflecting unity and faith.
Al-Mahdi stressed that the United States and Israel, after failing in their direct aggression, are relying on mercenaries and collaborators to weaken Yemen’s support for Gaza. He underlined, however, that Yemen’s stance remains unwavering in the face of all pressures and threats.
Since joining the battle to defend Gaza after October 2023, Yemen has emerged as a pivotal front confronting Israeli and American interests. Yemeni operations in the Red Sea and beyond have imposed a new strategic reality, disrupting enemy trade and security. In this context, Washington and Tel Aviv have intensified political and covert efforts to destabilize Yemen internally, hoping to reduce its role in the regional equation.
