Guardian Council: Iran’s Islamic revolution will continue with dignity, honor; response to Americans, Zionists will be regretful

Iran’s Guardian Council announced Sunday that with the election of a new leader of the Islamic Revolution by the Assembly of Experts, in accordance with the Iranian Constitution, the goals of the enemies and adversaries will become mere illusions, and the Islamic Revolution will continue its path with dignity and honor.

The statement added: “We extend our deepest condolences to the Islamic nation and the noble Iranian people on the martyrdom of the nation’s leader and supreme religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, and his ascension to the presence of God Almighty. We received with profound sorrow and grief the news of the martyrdom of this great divine figure, the standard-bearer of the Islamic Revolution and a source of pride for the Islamic world, who confronted the forces of falsehood and arrogance with unwavering faith and courage, never retreating an inch before the enemies,” according to the Iranian news agency Nour News.

He emphasized that “the path of this great man will continue with determination and strength, and that the Islamic Revolution, its approach, and its Islamic system will not stop for a moment. The enemies are deluded into thinking they can obstruct the popular movement and the Islamic system in the Islamic Republic through the murderous logic of assassinations, but they will never grasp the principles and values of a people who have embraced the courageous and zealous school of Ashura.”

He reiterated that “the soldiers of the martyred leader, Imam Khamenei, are present in the field with full power and valor, ready to inflict upon the Zionists and Americans a resounding response for their criminal act, and to protect the Islamic Republic of Iran with all strength and power. We hope that with the election of a new leader of the Islamic Revolution in accordance with the Iranian Constitution, the goals of the enemies and adversaries will remain mere illusions, and the Islamic Revolution will continue its path with dignity and honor.”
