Hezbollah Secretary-General Addressing Resistance Fighters: Your Jihad Fields Bear Witness That You Are Heroes of Battle

The Secretary-General of Lebanese Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, affirmed on Tuesday that the choice of resistance in the face of Zionist aggression, after 15 months of giving way to diplomacy with patience and tolerance, revealed several things, most notably the courage of the resistance and its people in their patience and the precision of their commitment to covenants and pledges.

Sheikh Qassem said, in a message addressed to the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, published by Hezbollah’s “Al-Manar” website, that the party’s choice also revealed the courage of the resistance in confronting the aggression at the right time, the level of meticulous preparation for the battle, with the ambiguity of capability, its limits, and its deployment, the lack of need for fixed positioning, and the flexibility of movement for the fighters from anywhere in Lebanon to the front lines to engage the enemy.

He noted that Hezbollah surprised the enemy by neutralizing its surprise, knowing its aggressive plan, and preparing to confront it, affirming that the available solution is to stop the aggression, withdraw from the occupied territories, release prisoners, and return the people of the villages and cities to their homes with the start of reconstruction, and we are capable of that.

The Hezbollah Secretary-General stressed that the resistance continues in the field of honor, whatever the sacrifices, and the field is what decides the battle.

He addressed the resistance fighters in the field, saying: “I received your message from the field, after the flood of your jihad spread far and wide. I respond to you with love and fragments from the heart. Your confrontation of the Israeli-American aggression is among the most honorable deeds, and the highest in status with God Almighty, and with the believers, because it is the right of a person to live free, dignified, and honorable.”

He added: “You rise above the baseness of begging for the crumbs of the fleeting worldly possessions from tyrants and oppressors, clinging to what God Almighty has bestowed upon you of the blessing of faith and righteousness, so that the world comes to you submissively.”

He continued: “Your jihad fields bear witness that you are the heroes of battle, the brave ones of the field. Your hearts are attached to God Almighty, drawing from Him insight and daring. Your role model is the Master of Prophets and Messengers, Muhammad (peace be upon him), in his address to his uncle: ‘O uncle, by God, if they put the sun in my right hand and the moon in my left hand on condition that I abandon this matter until God makes it prevail, or I perish therein, I would not abandon it.'”

He added: “You face barbaric Zionist criminality, savage American tyranny, and the West panting for a role and share in the flow of pure blood, and the fearful or traitorous failure seeking a life of subordination and humiliation… You face the devils of the earth with the light of faith and jihad, and you are steadfast, unshaken by earthquakes… Your light runs before you with the glad tidings of a dear future and manifest victory.”

Sheikh Qassem affirmed that Hezbollah and its Islamic resistance are in a position of legitimate defense, in the battle of “Eaten Straw” (Ma’rakat al-Asf al-Ma’kul), and in defense to liberate the land, reject surrender, protect existence, and the independence of the nation, explaining that “this banner of truth rises with you, and rises with the jihad of the people of resistance and those who believe in it, and with their patience and great sacrifices.”

He continued: “History will record, as the present has recorded, that you are the torch of sacrifice and noble human giving, and that you resisted under the most difficult circumstances, with the highest degrees of confidence and assurance in victory, and prevented the enemies from achieving their goals.”

He went on to say: “With you, O lights of resistance, our banner will not fall. With you, O pioneers of freedom, the tyrants will fall. With you, O protectors of the homeland, we guarantee the future of our generations. With you, O torch of giving, the sun of liberation and freedom shines.”

He added: “Our path is the path of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), following the footsteps of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in confronting with dignity, and not submitting humiliatingly, satisfied with one of the two best outcomes: victory or martyrdom, and one of the two paths: honor versus humiliation.”

He pointed out that “all the sacrifices we have made, foremost among them the Master of the Nation’s Martyrs, Sayyed Hassan, Sayyed Abbas, Sheikh Ragheb, Sayyed Hashem, the leaders and mujahideen martyrs (may God be pleased with them), the wounded, the prisoners, and the great giving of our people… all of this is a purification of the path of our jihad, resistance, and allegiance, and it is a great asset for continuity, carrying the trust, and achieving the goals.”

The Hezbollah Secretary-General noted that “our enemies are bewildered, for their criminal means of pressure threaten death, and death is in the hand of God Almighty. They do not possess what can bring you down, while you possess what can bring them down and defeat them. You are the people of right to the land, and you draw your support from God Almighty, and you tackle difficulties with confidence in God’s promise: ‘Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and satisfy the breasts of a believing people’ (At-Tawbah 14).”

Sheikh Qassem concluded his message by saying: “My beloved resisting fighters. I thank God Almighty with thanks that never ceases, that I am with you, illuminated along with our honorable sacrificing people by your martyrdom-seeking spirit that does not fear death, so that we may together taste the sweetness of liberation and dignity.”

Since March 2nd, the Israeli enemy has escalated its criminal aggression on Lebanon, targeting Lebanese towns, villages, and cities, intensifying its raids, concurrently with the aggression being waged by America and the Zionist entity on Iran.

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon continues its operations in response to the escalating Israeli aggression.
