The Ministry of Interior announced Wednesday new confessions from several criminals linked to a spy network uncovered during a major security operation titled “Their Plot Will Collapse.”
The operation led, according to the ministry, to the arrest of an espionage network run by a joint intelligence room involving US intelligence, the Israeli enemy (Mossad), and Saudi intelligence, based in Saudi territory.
The ministry stated that members of the network were involved in surveillance activities, collecting sensitive information, and transmitting coordinates of vital, security, and military sites to the enemy’s joint intelligence room during Yemen’s support battle for Gaza, concedering it as a treason against Allah, the Prophet, and the nation.
It added that, based on the information and coordinates provided by these individuals, the Israeli enemy carried out strikes on several facilities, resulting in deaths and injuries among Yemeni citizens.
According to the statement, intelligence officers operating within the enemy’s joint operations room, through affiliated mercenaries, worked to recruit individuals capable of accessing sensitive information.
Some recruits were reportedly summoned to Riyadh to meet Saudi and foreign intelligence officers and were provided with tools to support espionage activities.
The ministry further explained that the network used multiple methods to collect intelligence, including indirect gathering from public gatherings and social meetings, as well as building relationships with government employees or their relatives.
These methods aimed to obtain detailed information on military capabilities, movements of military and civilian leaders, meetings, workplaces, and residential locations.
The Interior Ministry reaffirmed that it remains in a high state of readiness and vigilance, stressing it will spare no effort in fulfilling its national duty to confront all enemy conspiracies aimed at undermining the country’s security, stability, and territorial integrity.
The statement comes amid an ongoing security escalation in Yemen linked to regional tensions surrounding the war in Gaza and its wider regional spillover.
Yemeni authorities have repeatedly affirmed that external intelligence services, including those of the US, the Israeli enemy, and Saudi Arabia, of running coordinated espionage operations aimed at gathering sensitive military and security information inside Yemen.
The announcement reflects a continuing campaign by the Interior Ministry to expose spy networks and present confessions from detained suspects as part of broader counter-espionage efforts during a period of heightened military and intelligence activity in the region.
