Iran targets US Air Force Crew Compound in joint missile, drone attack

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Tuesday that it had targeted the residence and assembly point of a US Air Force squadron stationed at al-Kharj Air Base in Saudi Arabia.

The Iranian Tasnim News Agency quoted the Revolutionary Guard’s Aerospace Force as saying, “In response to the unjust attacks and airstrikes by US forces, the residence and assembly point of a US air force squadron stationed at Al-Kharj Air Base in Saudi Arabia was targeted in a joint missile and drone operation carried out by the Aerospace Force.”

It added, “In this operation, at least 200 US military personnel were killed or wounded, and it is believed that a large number of them were fighter pilots.”

Iran continues to launch attacks on US military bases in the region and deep inside Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories as part of Operation “True Promise 4,” in response to US-Israeli aggression against its territory.
