Iranian Chief of Staff Abdolrahim Mousavi revealed on Tuesday that the United States and Israel are behind sending ISIS terrorists into Iran to carry out attacks targeting civilians and security forces.
Mousavi stated, in remarks carried by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, that Washington and Tel Aviv resorted to using members of the terrorist organization “to compensate for their defeat in the Twelve-Day War,” noting that these elements carried out attacks that resulted in deaths among civilians and security forces.
He added that security forces dealt with the recent protests in the country with “restraint.”
He emphasized that Tehran will not allow its sovereignty or territorial integrity to be violated, and that security agencies will not allow any terrorist to take to the streets.
