Iranian Revolutionary Guard announces targeting of two US bases in Kuwait, Baghdad & opposition sites in northern Iraq
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced on Monday that it had targeted two US bases in Kuwait and Baghdad, as well as sites of armed Iranian opposition in northern Iraq, as part of wave 98 of Operation True Promise 4, in response to the Zionist-American aggression on Iran.
The Revolutionary Guard said in a statement: “We targeted the Al-Adairi base in Kuwait with missile and drone attacks carried out by the Aerospace Forces.”
It explained that the Al-Adairi base is considered a launch point for threats against Iran, affirming the destruction of sites designated for helicopter deployment and US forces’ accommodation.
It added: “We also targeted assembly and command centers at the US Victoria Base in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, through operations carried out by factions of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.”
It continued: “We targeted five sites used by armed Iranian opposition groups in northern Iraq, after intelligence monitoring, through drone strikes.”
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard affirmed that the response to the recent attacks on the country will continue, and that future actions will be “harsher” against the perpetrators.
On February 28, the United States and the Zionist entity launched a new aggression on Iran, which has killed hundreds of civilians and targeted schools, hospitals, mosques, and other vital resources of the Iranian people.
In response to the aggression, Iran launched Operation True Promise 4 against the Zionist entity and US bases in the region.
