The spokesperson for Iran’s Central Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters of the Armed Forces, Colonel Ibrahim Zolfaghari, announced on Sunday the destruction of highly advanced long-range radars belonging to the “THAAD” missile defense system.
According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, Zolfaghari stated that, as part of operations targeting the enemies’ missile defense systems in the region, four highly advanced radars of the American THAAD system were struck and destroyed.
He explained that the extremely advanced radars of the THAAD system, which have a very long operational range, were targeted and destroyed over the past 24 hours in the areas of Al-Dhafra, Al-Ruwais, Al-Kharj, and Al-Azraq.
Zolfaghari added that the American THAAD system radars had been transmitting real-time information to the missile defense shield network of both the United States and the Israeli entity.
He noted that the severe damage inflicted on the enemy’s early warning network has resulted in sirens in the occupied territories no longer sounding until the moment the missiles actually strike.
