Israeli Airstrike Kills Children Waiting for Food in Gaza

At least 15 Palestinians — including eight children — were killed when Israeli warplanes targeted civilians near a medical point in central Gaza, according to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

The strike hit a crowd of families, mostly children and women, queuing for nutritional supplements in the town of Deir al-Balah.

Hospital footage showed graphic scenes of lifeless children and frantic efforts to treat the wounded.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital confirmed the casualties, denouncing the attack as another deliberate crime against civilians.

The Israeli military issued a statement claiming it was “checking the reports,” a routine response amid growing international outrage over its assaults on densely populated civilian areas.

Elsewhere in Gaza, 26 more people were reportedly killed in additional Israeli air raids on Thursday.

These attacks occurred as indirect negotiations continued in Doha between Hamas and Israeli delegations, with mediation by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States.

Despite US claims of “optimism,” no breakthrough has been achieved.

A senior Israeli official told reporters in Washington that a ceasefire deal — if reached — could last 60 days.

The official made the comments while accompanying prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to the US.

The Hamas resistance group said it had agreed to release 10 captives as a gesture of flexibility, but stressed that any deal must include an end to the brutal military campaign.

Israel’s assault on Gaza began in October 2023, which has so far killed at least 57,680 Palestinians, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

The vast majority of Gaza’s population has been displaced multiple times.

Over 90% of homes are damaged or destroyed.

Essential services — including healthcare, water, and sanitation — have collapsed.

Food, fuel, medicine, and shelter remain critically scarce under Israel’s ongoing brutal siege.
