The Israeli enamy resumed deadly strikes on Gaza for a fourth consecutive day, killing at least three Palestinians and shattering what remains of a fragile US-brokered ceasefire.
Overnight explosions were reported across Khan Younis and Gaza City as Israeli warplanes targeted residential neighborhoods, striking the enclave despite claims of commitment to the ceasefire.
Local sources said the enamy’s forces launched air raids east of southern Khan Younis and bombed homes near eastern Gaza City. No casualties were immediately reported from the latest wave of attacks.
Palestinian health authorities said Friday’s strikes killed three people, while another Palestinian succumbed to wounds from previous Israeli bombardments, according to the WAFA news agency.
The assaults come amid growing skepticism among Palestinians toward Washington’s so-called peace efforts. The ceasefire, pushed through by US President Donald Trump, has been repeatedly violated by the occupying regime since its announcement three weeks ago.
Between Tuesday and Wednesday, Israeli retaliation for the death of one soldier left at least 104 Palestinians dead, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported.
Humanitarian workers said the Red Cross had received 30 more bodies of Palestinians slain by Israeli fire, a day after Hamas handed over two bodies of hostages.
Under the ceasefire terms, Hamas released all living hostages in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, while Israel pledged to withdraw troops, halt aggression, and allow aid into Gaza. Hamas also agreed to deliver the remains of 28 dead hostages in exchange for 360 Palestinian fighters killed in the war. So far, 17 bodies have been returned, while 225 Palestinian bodies have been handed over to Gaza authorities.
Hamas said locating the remaining bodies would require more time, denouncing Israel fr obstructing the process through continued air raids and border restrictions.
Over two years of relentless bombardment by the Israeli enamy have killed more than 68,000 Palestinians and reduced Gaza to rubble.
