Israeli enemy authorities forced al-Maqdisi citizen on Monday evening to demolish his own home in the town of Silwan, south of occupied .
The Quds Governorate reported that the enemy authorities forced Al-Maqdis citizen Khalil Abdel Badran to carry out a self-demolition of his home in Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan, to avoid heavy fines that the enemy municipality in Jerusalem might impose on him if it carried out the demolition.
It added that the home has been standing since 2018, with an area of about 100 square meters, sheltering four family members, pointing out that the Israeli enemy municipality had imposed financial fines of 48,000 shekels on the citizen since 2023, as part of a policy of pressure on Jerusalemites and forcing them to demolish their homes themselves to avoid paying heavy fines.
Israeli enemy authorities continue to implement home demolition policies in Silwan, especially in Al-Bustan neighborhood, as part of schemes targeting the Palestinian presence in the holy city.
