Israeli strike hits Beirut’s southern suburbs

Israel has carried out an air strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs, Lebanese media said, in the latest cross-border attack despite a ceasefire arrangement between Israel and Lebanon.

the strike hit the Dahiyeh district, a stronghold of Hezbollah, marking a new escalation in Israel’s recent aerial operations.

Lebanese sources said one person was killed and three others were wounded in the strike.

Israel’s Army Radio claimed the attack targeted Abu Ali Tabatabai, described as the number-two figure in Hezbollah. The group has not confirmed whether he was killed.
