Large Iranian Presence in Enghelab Square in Central Tehran Following Announcement of Martyrdom of Revolution Leader

Enghelab Square (Revolution Square) in the Iranian capital, Tehran, witnessed a large gathering of people from all walks of life this morning, Sunday, following the announcement of the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iranian media reported that Enghelab Square in Tehran is currently witnessing a large gathering of people from all walks of life in Iran following the announcement of the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. This large gathering demonstrates solidarity and national unity in the face of this profound loss.

The Iranian government announced this morning, Sunday, a 40-day period of national mourning throughout the country, in addition to the closure of government offices and public institutions for seven days following the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, was martyred in the joint attack launched by the United States and the Zionist regime on Saturday morning, February 28.

Also martyred were the Secretary of Iran’s Defense Council, Admiral Ali Shamkhani, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Mohammad Pakpour, in the American-Zionist aggression against Tehran.

This great scholar and mujahid dedicated his life to the advancement of Iran and Islam, and devoted himself to their causes. We pray that Allah will gather him with the Imam and the Master of Martyrs.
