Leader Highlights Yemen’s Pivotal Role in Supporting Gaza and Confronting the Zionist Enemy

The Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, affirmed Yemen’s clear and sustained contribution to supporting Gaza and confronting the Zionist enemy’s ongoing aggression over the past two years. He detailed that Yemen’s role included ballistic and cruise missile launches, drone operations, and extensive naval attacks that targeted hundreds of hostile vessels — forcing the enemy to close ports and incur heavy economic and military losses.

Speaking Friday to participants in the 34th Arab National Conference held in Beirut, with more than 250 Arab and Islamic figures in attendance, Sayyed Abdulmalik emphasized that the gathering comes at a critical juncture for the Arab nation. He described it as an opportunity to formulate comprehensive responses to the schemes aimed at undermining the sovereignty and unity of the region, warning against internal complacency and the adoption of foreign agendas seeking to strip nations of their strength and independence.

Sayyed Abdulmalik said the Zionist enemy, backed by the United States, seeks to impose a “doctrine of violation and subjugation” by disarming peoples and depriving nations of their defensive capabilities — a policy he warned threatens the future of freedom, dignity, and national values across the Arab world.

He described the massacres committed in Gaza as genocidal crimes that have crossed all moral and humanitarian boundaries, holding the Zionist enemy fully responsible for the atrocities against civilians, children, the sick, and the elderly. He underscored that the steadfastness of Gaza and Lebanon demonstrates the power of resistance to impose real deterrence equations.

The leader presented detailed figures on Yemen’s military and popular support for Gaza, noting that over the past two years, Yemen conducted 1,830 military operations in solidarity with Gaza, including ballistic and cruise missile strikes, drone operations, and naval attacks. A total of 228 enemy-linked vessels were targeted in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea, compelling the Zionist entity to shut down the port of Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) for nearly two years.

Sayyed Abdulmalik also confirmed the downing of 22 US MQ-9 Reaper drones, noting that this success thwarted Washington’s plans to dismantle Yemen’s military capabilities. He added that five US aircraft carriers and their accompanying fleets were forced to withdraw from regional waters after repeated confrontations — an acknowledgment by American officials of the “effectiveness of Yemeni tactics.”

He revealed that Yemen had been targeted by nearly 3,000 US-Zionist airstrikes, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and wounded, including senior government and military officials such as the Prime Minister, members of his cabinet, and the Chief of Staff.

Sayyed Abdulmalik further highlighted Yemen’s ongoing nationwide mobilization, noting the continuation of massive weekly demonstrations and over half a million public activities involving more than 1.1 million people in military training programs — an unprecedented level of civic and resistance engagement.

He also warned against media campaigns aimed at distorting Iran’s supportive role toward Arab causes, stressing that the confrontation is not an “Iranian–Zionist” conflict but rather a struggle between the resistance axis and colonial powers. He emphasized that Iran’s backing serves Arab causes, particularly Palestine, and that current victories in Gaza and other fronts are exerting immense pressure on the Zionist enemy to halt its aggression.

Sayyed Abdulmalik called for continued unity, strength, and vigilance to safeguard the achievements of steadfastness, urging Arab leaders, intellectuals, and popular movements to maintain their efforts to confront schemes aimed at reversing the gains of resistance. He concluded by expressing confidence in the eventual triumph of the Arab and Islamic nations through unity, awareness, and faith.

Yemen has played a leading role in the regional resistance front since the beginning of the Zionist enemy’s war on Gaza, launching military operations across land, sea, and air in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Despite enduring heavy bombardment and the loss of senior leaders, Yemen’s steadfastness and its expanding resistance operations have reshaped regional deterrence equations, strengthening the collective stance of the Axis of Resistance against US-Zionist aggression.
