Massive Rally in Sana’a and Provinces Condemns ‘Israeli’ Strikes, Vows Continued Support for Gaza

Millions of Yemenis gathered in Sana’a’s and other Provinces  Friday for a massive rally dubbed “With Gaza… Yemen of Faith in Jihad, Steadfastness, and Mobilization,” just 24 hours after Israeli aggression airstrikes reportedly targeted civilian sites in the capital.

The demonstration, marked by intense crowds and thunderous chants, was described by organizers as a “human flood” and a “quake for the forces of arrogance.” Participants framed their mobilization as a religious duty, stating that the “fire of hell is hotter” than inaction in the face of ongoing conflict.

The rallys served to reaffirm Yemen’s support for the Palestinian cause and to commemorate the first anniversary of the deaths of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his companion Hashim Safi al-Din, whom speakers hailed as “martyrs of the nation and the faith.”

Statements issued by the rally organizers strongly criticized Arab and Islamic governments for what it called “shameful positions” and a contradiction between their condemnations of Israel at the UN General Assembly and their ongoing, alleged provision of weapons to the Zionist enemy.

The statements directly addressed Arab and Muslim leaders, asking, “What is the required ceiling of crime and massacres for you to move, leave the square of lies and deception, and take practical steps to stop these crimes that you now acknowledge?”

They praised the ongoing Palestinian resistance in Gaza and the “effective strikes” carried out by Yemeni Armed Forces against the Israeli enemy, describing them as the “real, practical steps to stop the aggression.” The statements emphasized that “verbal positions do not feed the hungry, provide medicine for the sick and wounded, or protect children from lethal bombs.”

Chants from the crowds echoed themes of defiance and religious commitment, including: “However much you bomb, you will not deter us… We will escalate the scale of our challenge,” and “The Yemeni operations… broke the arrogance of Zionism.” Other chants called on the Islamic world to “return to God” and promised victory.

The rallys concluded with a pledge to continue on the path of “jihad and sacrifice” until the “promised victory and the elimination of the temporary entity [Israel],” renewing the covenant to the legacy of Hassan Nasrallah.

Yemen has been a staunch supporter of Palestine and has repeatedly launched drones and missiles towards the Israeli enemy in solidarity with Gaza. It organizes weekly mass rallies, condemning the genocidal war in Gaza. This latest gathering follows Israeli aggression on civilian infrastructure in Sana’a.
