The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the decision of the European Union Council to expand the so-called sanctions imposed on Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained in a statement that the European decision contradicts some positive stances of European countries regarding the genocide crimes in Gaza, foremost among them Spain, as well as the protests that took place in many European countries, and the participation of many European activists in the “Global Resilience Fleet” that sought to break the blockade imposed on Gaza.
The statement pointed out that this position reflects the extent of global Zionism’s control over a number of European countries, and the state of infiltration and subordination to global Zionism, which necessitates that European peoples wake up, put those countries under the microscope, and evaluate their hostile policies.
It noted that this negative position coincided with Palestine in general and Gaza in particular continuing to suffer from genocide crimes, daily killings, expansion of the occupation of Palestinian lands, most recently the announcement by the criminal Netanyahu of his intention to occupy 70% of the Gaza Strip, as well as tightening the noose on the remaining humanitarian aid, and the continuous incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The statement touched upon the fact that the European Union Council’s position coincided with what the criminal enemy entity is doing in terms of crimes in the West Bank, occupying more lands, establishing new settlements on them, as well as demolishing homes, destroying farms, arrests, and daily assaults. This decision also coincided with the Israeli enemy entity’s escalation of its aggression on Lebanon.
It affirmed that the decision comes at a time when all events confirm the state of criminality and disregard for all international norms, charters, and laws by the Israeli enemy entity, and at a sensitive and critical historical stage in which the true face of the Israeli enemy entity, its American partner, and global Zionism in general has been exposed.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its affirmation of Yemen’s firm position supporting the Palestinian people, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the rest of the resistance factions, stressing that the European and other positions will not break the will of the Palestinian people, who are moving forward in reclaiming their legitimate rights.
It also affirmed that Yemen will stand by the Palestinian people and the resistance factions with all its capabilities and potential, seeking help from Allah, the Lord of the heavens and the earth.
