Official Dismisses Saudi Denial of Siege: ‘Your Rhetoric Will Not Protect Your Oil’
Ansarullah Political Bureau member Mohammed Al-Farah has dismissed claims by the US-Saudi aggression coalition spokesperson Turki Al-Malki, asserting that Saudi attempts to circumvent reality “will not protect Riyadh’s oil or its maritime navigation.”
Responding to Al-Malki’s statement that “there is no siege on Sana’a Airport,” Al-Farah wrote on his official account: “Why did you come to bomb Sana’a Airport, and why did you and your tools mobilize against a single flight that brought back patients, stranded individuals, and our Yemeni delegation to their families and loved ones—if you claim there is no siege on Yemen?”
He added, addressing the Saudi regime and its spokespeople: “Denial in this crude manner will not lead you to any result, and it will not protect your oil or your maritime navigation.”
Saudi Call for UN Resolution ‘Irrelevant’
In response to the Saudi Foreign Ministry’s call for the international community to implement relevant Security Council resolutions—foremost among them Resolution 2216 on Yemen—Al-Farah asserted that “what the Yemeni people demand are legitimate rights guaranteed by all laws, norms, and international charters.”
He emphasized that “no party in the world has the right to confiscate them, nor does any entity in the world have any justification to prevent us from traveling abroad, to impose restrictions on our ports and airports, to violate our sovereignty, or to interfere in our affairs.”
Saudi Escalation ‘Intended to Punish Yemen for Supporting Gaza’
Earlier, Al-Farah had posted a series of statements on his official account, stating: “Everyone was waiting for a rational response from Saudi Arabia—announcing the end of its aggression and siege on the Yemeni people, committing to withdraw its forces, refraining from interfering in Yemeni sovereignty, and releasing its prisoners held in their prisons.”
He added: “But it appears Riyadh has not grasped the new realities, insists on escalation, and on punishing the Yemeni people for their positions supporting Gaza—describing those positions as ‘sinister goals and agendas.'”
‘Saudi Arabia Will Sacrifice Its Own Interests for US-Israel’
Al-Farah characterized the Saudi rhetoric as clearly revealing “the objectives behind the siege and the determination to starve this people.” He stated that “Saudi Arabia has no project and no interest in what it is doing in Yemen.”
Instead, “it is willing to sacrifice all its installations and maritime navigation just to bring Yemen back into the American fold, and to offer its interests as a shield protecting the Saudi-Israeli enemy and its maritime navigation—whatever the consequences.”
This statements come amid escalating tensions following Yemen’s declaration of a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia and a no-fly zone over Saudi airspace, in response to the Saudi aggression strike at Sana’a airport.
