Over 40 Palestinians injured by Israeli fire while waiting for aid in Gaza

More than 40 Palestinian civilians were injured to varying degrees on Sunday evening after Israeli forces opened fire on them while they were waiting for aid distribution in the northwestern Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Al-Saraya Field Hospital, operated by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, received over 40 casualties among Palestinians waiting for aid in the Zikim area in the northwest of the Strip.

Earlier today, the Gaza Ministry of Health announced that the number of martyrs among those waiting for aid has risen to 1,938, with more than 14,420 injuries.

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are facing an unprecedented wave of hunger since Israeli authorities closed the crossings into the territory in early March and imposed strict restrictions on the entry of food, humanitarian aid, fuel, and medicine.
