Palestinian Scholars Association: UN declaration of famine in Gaza is international testimony to previous warnings

The Palestinian Scholars Association affirmed on Friday that the famine declared by the United Nations through the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) platform, and the World Health Organization’s confirmation of its spread in Gaza City and its extension to the entire Gaza Strip, represent conclusive international testimony to what Gaza has been warning of for months.

In a statement issued yesterday evening, the Association emphasized that death is roaming the streets of Gaza from hunger, not just fire, and that the enemy is using the blockade as a lethal weapon, claiming lives under the eyes of a world that has mastered the art of denial.
