Parliament warned on Sunday against the suspicious moves and treacherous roles being played by Rashad al-Alimi, under the guise of the Presidential Leadership Council, who is brazenly attempting to place Yemen under the control of the Saudi-led coalition.
In a statement issued, the Parliament cautioned against the consequences of surrendering and compromising national sovereignty, which is being promoted by the illegitimate Rashad al-Alimi under the pretext of maintaining control over the Yemeni people.
The statement deemed every step taken by the Saudi regime an act of aggression, asserting that its interference in Yemen’s affairs has no legitimacy.
The statement continued, “All actions by external parties, led by Saudi Arabia, which has attacked Yemen, under the banner of the coalition, have no legitimacy to interfere in any Yemeni affairs.” It further emphasized that any official position on a settlement must be subject to a public referendum of all Yemenis.
Parliament called upon the government, the armed forces, and security forces to remain vigilant in protecting Yemeni sovereignty, unity, security, and stability, confronting the occupiers and invaders, liberating all Yemeni lands and islands, and persevering in the struggle until liberation, complete victory, and the end of the occupation by the abomination of the coalition of aggressor states and their mercenaries.
The Parliament considered the announcement by the so-called al-Alimi of the formation of a supreme military committee under the leadership of the coalition of aggressor states to be high treason against the constitution, the unity and sovereignty of Yemen, and its security and stability. This necessitates that the competent authorities prosecute him and those who aid and abet him for the crime of high treason and for compromising the unity, sovereignty, security, and stability of Yemen, its land, and its people.
The statement called for vigilance, caution, and the highest levels of readiness to confront the challenges of the current phase and to counter any moves by the coalition of aggressor states and their mercenaries.
The Parliament affirmed that the peaceful solution lies in the unity of the Yemeni people within the country and their dialogue, free from foreign influence, mercenary activity, subservience, and interference in Yemen’s internal affairs.
The Parliament called on all national forces to unite against the conspiracies and external plots targeting Yemen, its sovereignty, unity, security, and stability. It expressed its confidence in the capabilities of the Yemeni people and their revolutionary and political leadership, represented by the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council, and in the popular support of all national forces to thwart all losing bets and complete the liberation battles for all occupied Yemeni lands, waters, and islands, which will no longer be coveted or plundered by invaders and occupiers.
The Parliament reiterated that Yemen is a vast sea that does not tolerate the dead in its depths and will cast out traitors, mercenaries, agents, and hired hands, as they have learned from the recent past.
The Parliament also affirmed that Yemen is a force to be reckoned with and will not allow the lackeys and slaves of the West and Zionists to gain a foothold on Yemeni lands, waters, or islands, indicating that any hostile movements will be targeted by the valiant Yemeni Armed Forces.
The statement pointed out that Yemeni sovereignty is not up for negotiation and that Yemenis are capable of reclaiming their rights by relying on Allah Almighty and their own strength and might.
