The Political Bureau of Ansarullah has offered its condolences to the leadership of Hamas, the Al-Qassam Brigades, and all Palestinian resistance factions following the killing of senior resistance commander Raed Saad, known as “Abu Muadh.”
In an official statement, the bureau strongly condemned the assassination, describing it as a “cowardly act” and a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement. It praised the slain commander and his family, saying his martyrdom marked a dignified end to a long record of struggle that played a central role in developing the resistance’s manufacturing and military capabilities.
The statement said Abu Muadh was a model of dedicated leadership and a symbol of sincere sacrifice, noting that he left a profound impact on the course of Palestinian armed resistance. It stressed that such a loss would not weaken the resolve of fighters in Gaza, but would instead strengthen their steadfastness and unity in confronting the enemy.
The Political Bureau of Ansarullah renewed its pledge to fallen resistance leaders, reaffirming that Yemen will continue to stand alongside Palestine and its resistance until the liberation of all occupied land.
Raed Saad, known by the nom de guerre “Abu Muadh,” was one of the prominent commanders within the Palestinian resistance movement and a senior figure in the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas. He was widely associated with efforts to enhance the resistance’s military, logistical, and manufacturing capabilities under prolonged siege and repeated Israeli military offensives against the Gaza Strip.
His assassination comes amid heightened regional tensions and fragile ceasefire arrangements in Gaza, with Palestinian factions repeatedly accusing the Israeli enemy of violating truce understandings through targeted killings and military operations. Such assassinations have historically been a flashpoint for renewed escalation, as resistance groups view them as deliberate attempts to undermine leadership structures and deterrence capabilities.
