President Al-Mashat directs speech on occasion of 64th anniversary of 26 September Revolution

His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, affirmed that the 64th anniversary of the 26 September Revolution comes upon us while the Yemeni people today face the Saudi aggression and siege with continuous American support and supervision for 12 years

President Al-Mashat said in his speech this evening on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the 26 September Revolution, “How similar tonight is to yesterday, for here are the same forces, foremost among them the Saudi regime, which yesterday stood against the will of the Yemenis and sought to abort their liberation project, trying today anew to deprive our dear people of their legitimate right to sovereignty, independence, development and a dignified life, and waging war against the will of the Yemenis once again for the same goal: returning Yemen to the square of tutelage and dependency, and how far it is from achieving that”

He renewed the strongest condemnation and denunciation of the lie of the age and the great falsehood fabricated by the Saudi regime against the Yemeni people with its false claims that Yemen, the land of wisdom and faith, tried to target Mecca, affirming that this desperate trick was nothing but the cries of a drowning man trying to mobilize and rally the world with him to continue his unjust aggression and siege on Yemen

He added, “We affirm that the sons of our dear Yemeni people are among the greatest Islamic peoples in faith and reverence for the sanctities, magnification of God’s rites, and respect and veneration for the landmarks of Islam, and are ready to sacrifice for the Sacred House of God, just as they plunged into war in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third of the two holy sanctuaries”

He continued, “We in the Republic of Yemen reserve our legitimate, legal and moral right toward the insult and injustice we were subjected to from the falsehood and fabrication by the aggressor Saudi regime and all those who adopted this falsehood”

His Excellency the President also renewed emphasis on the steadfastness of the principled faith-based Yemeni position in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people and their just cause, which is the cause of the entire nation, denouncing what the criminal Netanyahu and the Zionists did by storming and desecrating Al-Aqsa Mosque, and threatening to destroy it from the tunnels they dug beneath Al-Aqsa Mosque

He called on all countries that responded to the unjust Saudi lie and falsehood against Yemen regarding Mecca to take practical action to support Al-Aqsa Mosque, whose sanctity is being violated by the Zionists in plain view and hearing of the entire world

He went on to say, “As we recall in this anniversary the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs, the wounds of the heroic wounded, and the chains of the free prisoners, we pledge to them all that their blood, wounds and cause will remain a trust in our necks, that we will care for them and their families, and that we will continue the path until achieving victory, pride, sovereignty and independence for Yemen and this great people”

President Al-Mashat also called on all the deceived and those involved with the Saudi enemy against their people and homeland to review their accounts, and to join those who preceded them in returning to their homeland and people, for Yemen is wide enough for all its sons, and the door is open for everyone who chooses to place Yemen’s interest above all considerations

He said, “Our chests are open and as wide as this homeland, and we have no conditions except faith in the freedom and independence of this country, and working to build it and advance it, and the pride and elevation of our dear Yemeni people”

He added, “We affirm and repeat that international navigation is safe and that we are committed to international obligations toward it, and that our operations target the mobilizations of the Saudi enemy and have absolutely no relation to navigation, for it is safe and there is no concern about it”

He continued, “We renew to our people in the occupied areas, in the southern and eastern regions, the position announced by Sayyid Leader Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, may God protect him, in his penultimate speech, for we bear you nothing but all love, and your suffering is our suffering, and this suffering will be lifted from us all, God willing, when the Saudi occupier sitting on our country is expelled, and we will see it soon, God willing”

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon our master Muhammad the Trustworthy, and upon his pure family, and may God be pleased with his noble and honorable companions

To proceed,

On the occasion of the arrival of the sixty-fourth anniversary of the twenty-sixth of September, it pleases me to extend, in my name and on behalf of my colleagues in the Supreme Political Council, greetings to our patient and steadfast people, to our heroic mujahideen from the sons of the armed forces and security in the plains, mountains, seas and deserts of Yemen, to all comrades in arms from all the proud tribes of Yemen, and to all the honorable sons of the homeland at home and abroad

O sons of our dear Yemeni people:

This anniversary comes upon us while our dear Yemeni people today face the unjust Saudi aggression and siege with continuous American support and supervision for twelve years, for how similar tonight is to yesterday, for here are the same forces, foremost among them the Saudi regime, which yesterday stood against the will of the Yemenis and sought to abort their liberation project, trying today anew to deprive our dear people of their legitimate right to sovereignty, independence, development and a dignified life, and waging war against the will of the Yemenis once again for the same goal: returning Yemen to the square of tutelage and dependency, and how far it is from achieving that

O great Yemeni people:

The question that should be present in every national anniversary emerges: What has been achieved of its goals? Where has Yemen reached after more than half a century since its establishment? And who obstructed their achievement?

The truthful answer is not with slogans, but by comparing the goals with reality: it announced the building of a strong national army, but Yemen remained suffering for decades from the weakness of state institutions and the division of centers of power; it aimed to raise the level of the people economically, socially, politically and culturally, while poverty, deprivation and disparity continued to weigh heavily on Yemenis; it wanted a free and independent Yemen, while the national decision at various stages remained vulnerable to external interventions and internal conflicts, and the purpose of this comparison is fairness, and condemnation of those who worked to thwart it, because goals are not condemned if they stumble, but the question should be asked about the reasons that prevented their completion

Our dear Yemeni people:

The Saudi regime has for sixty-four years intervened directly in various internal and external affairs of Yemen, and through a network of corrupt people and traitors affiliated with it was able to extend its influence over the joints of the state and its decisions, and this is known to all sons of the Yemeni people, until all sovereign decisions became mortgaged to its will, to the extent that governments are not formed or ministers and army leaders appointed except with its approval, and through the so-called special committee, dependency on the Saudi regime turned into a source of pride among those corrupt people and traitors

During those decades, the Saudi regime did not allow our Yemeni people to extract their oil and gas wealth and economic potential and benefit from their goodness, and it obstructed all serious attempts to build a just and strong Yemeni state expressing the will of the people, and obstructed all attempts to build a national army capable of protecting Yemen, preserving sovereignty and independence, and safeguarding the national decision, and it continued to view Yemen as a backyard and sphere of influence that should remain weak, limited in capabilities, and stripped of all elements of power that would enable it to rise to its natural role and deserved status, and this approach was not born of a developmental or renaissance project serving the region and its peoples, but came in the context of this aggressor Saudi regime’s association with the American-Zionist project in the region that aims to weaken the Arab and Islamic nation and keep its countries in the circle of dependency and fragmentation

Unfortunately, the Saudi regime was not able to implement these policies alone, but found alongside it many mercenaries who betrayed their homeland and people, and accepted to add their names to the lists of the Saudi special committee, in exchange for opening the doors of violation for Yemen by sea, air and land to this regime to tamper with it as it wished, and their baseness and meanness reached the point that the Saudi regime assassinated the martyr President Ibrahim Al-Hamdi who worked to build an independent and strong Yemeni state, and they did not move a finger, but some of them participated with it in that heinous crime, and the Saudi regime was not satisfied with the crime of assassinating him but fabricated a false slander to distort the image of a free Yemeni president in the eyes of his people, to erase his national legacy and renaissance project, and everyone knows that story

O sons of the dear Yemeni people,

The twenty-sixth had enemies from within disguised as to its purposes and goals, and others from abroad who did not comprehend the reality of Yemen becoming an independent republic in a surroundings of despotic monarchies, so they denied it, and replaced it with slogans repeated for media consumption, and when you see their reality and actions you will find they are walking opposite the direction of its goals

So the Yemeni people were struck by the shock of denial and swallowed suffering and frustration, as they saw their sacrifices wasted in the market of the Saudi special committee and in the corridors of embassies, and watched the goals of liberation turn into restrictions and shackles of dependency, and discovered that their army concerned with protecting them and defending the borders of their homeland became a stage for the crimes of takfiris, and saw that their weapons were available to the enemy destroying them with their own hands and the hands of traitors, which created the conditions and prepared the atmosphere for review and assessment of the state of the country

Brothers and sisters:

And as happened yesterday, the external forces became exasperated with the 21 September Revolution, and the Saudi regime was unable to restore its tutelage over Yemen not only through its local tools, but through direct military intervention by launching a brutal aggression and unjust siege that began 12 years ago and continues, in a desperate attempt to abort this revolution and contain it, but it collided with the determination of a people who swore to protect their revolution, a leadership that is not bought by the funds of committees nor intimidated by the weapons of tyranny, and an army that truthfully chants: “The world will not see a guardian over my land”

If the twenty-sixth of September had a tongue to speak, it would say that its righteous sons and loyal men are the ones stationed in the trenches, stepping with their bare feet on the sands of the western coast and the desert, striking the mobilizations of the Saudi enemy and liberating it from the filth of its occupation, for they sacrifice their lives for the sake of God and in defense of their homeland, its wealth and sovereignty and protecting their people, and not those who mouth its slogans thrown in the arms of the Saudi monarchy that fought it, even if they call themselves by the name of the republic and wear the garment of patriotism

The danger to the Yemeni Republic is not from its sons who protect its borders, those lying on their bellies from siege and starvation, nor from those defending it with their lives, nor from the employees and female employees steadfast under the Saudi aggression and unjust siege and deprivation of resources, but from those mercenaries who betray their country and people, the affluent in hotels who facilitated for the Saudi enemy the invasion of the country and the plunder of its wealth, and pushed its sons as fuel in the battle of agenthood, while sending their sons to the capitals of Europe for tourism

Brothers and sisters,

It is important on such an anniversary that we strengthen the state of national and political awareness, that we unite more and more with our country and land, and that we all rise to the level of sacrifices made by our great Yemeni people for their freedom and independence, and that we not fall again prey to the deception of the Saudi enemy and the mouths of betrayal, deceit and misguidance from those who try to outbid and mock at the expense of the homeland, people and principles, for they are the furthest of creation from unity, freedom, revolution and the republic

From here one can also look at what is happening in the western coast and other regions of Yemen of striking the mobilizations of the Saudi enemy from the angle of the principle of national sovereignty; for restoring the state’s authority over its territory, building a unified national military institution, and protecting the coasts, deserts, outlets and wealth, are all issues directly related to the idea of an independent state that was among the most prominent aspirations of Yemenis since the establishment of the republic, and what the sons of our dear Yemeni people are writing today of confronting the unjust Saudi aggression and siege on our country and liberating the coast from the filth of the invaders and their mercenaries, and what they are achieving in the fields of self-sufficiency of achievements in agriculture and development, is the best evidence that the principles of the revolution are still alive in their blood, embodying them with their hands, and defending them with their blood and wounds, so that future generations may inherit them after decades of systematic erasure

In conclusion, we affirm some points:

And that we in the Republic of Yemen reserve our legitimate, legal and moral right toward the insult and injustice we were subjected to from the falsehood and fabrication by the aggressor Saudi regime and all those who adopted this falsehood

Seventh: We today are concerned with continuing steadfastness and doubling efforts, for in that is the salvation of our country from all its suffering, and we give good tidings to everyone that God has provided for our beloved country men from its sons who were true to what they pledged to God, and made from the womb of the impossible all these victories, and watered with their blood and sweat the soil of dear Yemen, and we pledge to God and the people the covenant of the truthful free, and the covenant of the steadfast believers, that we will not be negligent in a responsibility, and that we will not squander the sovereignty and decision of Yemen, nor the hopes and aspirations of the people, and in us a vein beats, and that we will not tire nor grow weary until the sun of freedom and independence shines on every inch of our land, and until we see the Yemeni Republic a strong independent state, pleasing the friend, vexing the enemy, and bringing the smile back to the lips of the sons of our great Yemeni people, and restoring consideration to our dear Yemen

This is your covenant, and this is your path, and in that alone is what makes you today the most deserving of celebration and commemoration of all the struggles and glories of Yemen, ancient and modern

Mercy to the martyrs, relief to the prisoners, healing to the wounded, and victory to our dear people

Long live the Yemeni Republic
