The Humanity Eye Center for Rights and Development has strongly condemned a recent strike in the border region of Sa’adah, labeling it a “heinous crime” and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Sana’a-based rights center reported that the attack of the Saudi army, targeted civilians in the Munabbih district. The strike resulted in the death of at least one citizen and left seven others seriously wounded.
The center emphasized that the continuation of such repeated attacks on the border strip constitutes a full-fledged war crime, holding the “Saudi aggression forces” fully responsible for the consequences of these criminal acts against the Yemeni people.
The Humanity Eye Center called for an urgent and independent international investigation into these escalating incidents and demanded immediate action to stop the “savage Saudi aggression on Yemen.”
The northern Yemeni province of Sa’adah has frequently experienced shelling and airstrikes from the Saudi-led aggression. Civilian casualties in Yemeni border areas have been a persistent point of contention and condemnation by human rights organizations
