Saudi enemy airstrikes and artillery shelling targeting civilians and their property in Taiz and Sa’adah provinces killed two people and injured nine others on Wednesday, most of them women.
In Taiz, Saudi enemy aircraft launched several airstrikes on homes and property in Bani Omar, al-Shamayatayn district, killing a woman and injuring four others, including a girl.
Other airstrikes targeted homes in al-Ajhaf village in Jabal Habashi district, causing panic among residents and damaging property.
Meanwhile, Saudi enemy forces shelled homes in the al-Ram al-A’la area of Hayfan district, killing a man and injuring his wife.
In Sa’adah, four civilians, including two African migrants, were injured by Saudi enemy gunfire in the border districts of Munabbih, Baqim and Qatabir.
According to the Ministry of Health and Environment, Saudi Arabia’s latest escalation had killed 107 civilians and injured 278 by Tuesday, October 13, mostly women and children. The attacks targeted several Yemeni provinces, particularly Taiz, Saada and al-Jawf.
Yemen has endured years of conflict since the Saudi-led military aggression began in March 2015, with airstrikes and fighting causing extensive damage to civilian infrastructure and contributing to a prolonged humanitarian crisis.
Sana’a maintains that Saudi military operations and the blockade imposed on Yemen constitute ongoing aggression, and says its military actions against Saudi targets are a response to those attacks.
