Saudi-backed forces continued their attacks on populated areas in Yemen’s Taiz province on Saturday, local reports said.
An Almasirah correspondent in Taiz reported that Saudi-backed forces fired several artillery shells at residential villages in the Al-Arouq and Al-Aabous areas of Hayfan district.
The attacks reportedly caused damage to civilian property, disrupted public safety and threatened the lives of residents.
The shelling comes amid a continued pattern of daily artillery attacks attributed to Saudi-backed forces, as part of the ongoing escalation against Yemeni civilians and areas under the control of the Sana’a authorities.
Recently, Saudi Arabia and Saudi-backed forces inside Yemen are renewing military escalation, while Sana’a has warned that attacks and military mobilizations will be met with reciprocal measures.
