Supreme Political Council Commends Armed Forces’ Qualitative Operation

The Supreme Political Council commended on Thursday the Yemeni Armed Forces’ extensive qualitative operation against Saudi enemy troop concentrations in the areas of Ruwaik, Al-Abr, Al-Thaniyah, and other camps. The operation, which involved a large number of ballistic missiles and drones, was launched in the final moments before a ground offensive against our people.

In a statement issued today, the Council praised the preemptive vigilance that thwarted the Saudi plan to destabilize Yemen and obstruct the lifting of the unjust blockade imposed for 12 years. The Council affirmed that the equation of “blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation” has become a firm and established principle, and that any troop concentration or aggressive movement, no matter how well-prepared, will be met with painful strikes that will thwart its schemes, by the grace and power of Allah.

The Council stated, “While the Council supports the Armed Forces in confronting any new folly with full force and resolve, it reiterates that all Saudi land and sea troop concentrations, however large, will not deter the Yemeni people from their legitimate and just struggle to reclaim their rights and end the injustice inflicted upon them.” The Supreme Political Council reiterated that the Yemeni people have made their decision to impose a maritime blockade on Saudi shipping after exhausting all efforts at de-escalation and peace over the past years to no avail.

It held the Saudi regime fully responsible for the consequences of any escalation, stressing that it has no option but to lift the blockade, cease its aggression, and respect the rights of the Yemeni people and the legitimacy of their just demands.
