A CNN report has revealed growing unease within Israel over Hezbollah’s advanced fiber-optic drones, describing the weapon as an “unstoppable nightmare” that the Israeli military cannot effectively counter.
The American network acknowledged Hezbollah’s increasing prowess in drone warfare, pointing to a rising sense of anxiety in ‘Israel’ over the effectiveness of fiber-optic guided suicide drones. According to the report, the resistance has successfully developed an offensive tactic that has confounded the Israeli army. These advanced drones operate via fiber-optic cables instead of radio signals, making them nearly impossible to detect or jam.
The report highlighted a specific incident where a drone accurately flew over devastated towns in southern Lebanon, navigating roads and buildings before spotting an Israeli tank and nearby enemy soldiers. The operator’s screen displayed the message “Bomb ready,” underscoring the technological sophistication and field precision of the operation.
CNN quoted Israeli researcher Yehoshua Kaliski from the Institute for National Security Studies, who said these drones are “protected from electronic jamming, and the absence of their electronic signature makes it almost impossible to determine their launch location.”
The network added that footage released by the resistance showed occupation soldiers seemingly unaware of the drone’s approach moments before it exploded. The Israeli enemy army later acknowledged that the attack killed one soldier and wounded several others, before the resistance targeted the evacuation helicopter that arrived at the scene.
The American network confirmed that the Israeli military, which for years relied on technological superiority and electronic warfare to counter drones, is now facing a new challenge that has significantly eroded its advantage. Israeli military sources admitted that “barriers and physical obstacles are currently the only available means,” but conceded they are “not entirely foolproof.”
The report noted that Hezbollah is constantly developing methods for coordinating drone attacks, while the Israeli army is still struggling to adapt to this escalating threat. This comes as ‘Israel’ acknowledges that Hezbollah is “learning rapidly” and possesses a growing ability to carry out precise, simultaneous strikes against soldiers and vehicles in southern Lebanon and northern occupied Palestine.
