The UN World Food Programme said on Friday that 77% of families in the Gaza Strip continue to suffer from high levels of hunger, despite a decline in famine conditions following the ceasefire and improved access to aid.
In a post on “X,” the WFP noted that while food security has shown some improvement, the majority of the population still faces severe food insecurity. It urged continued international support to help families recover and move toward self-sufficiency.
The Integrated Food Security Phase Classificationش (IPC) reported that Gaza remains in an emergency phase (Phase 4) until mid-April 2026, despite better access to humanitarian and commercial food supplies.
