Yemeni Armed Forces Launch Hypersonic Missile Strikes on Israeli Targets in Occupied Jaffa

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Sunday that the missile forces had carried out a military operation targeting sensitive Israeli enemy positions in the occupied city of Jaffa.

In a televised statement, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said that the Rocketry Forces launched a military operation targeting sensitive enemy sites in occupied Jaffa using several Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missiles at different times over the past 24 hours.

The statement indicated that this operation “was coordinated with the operations carried out by the Iranian army and the Revolutionary Guard against the criminal Israeli enemy,” confirming that the operations successfully achieved their objectives, “by the grace of God.”

It added that the operation came “in support of the oppressed Palestinian and Iranian peoples, and in response to the crime of starvation and deprivation being committed by the Zionist enemy against our brothers in the Gaza Strip.”

The statement also praised “the Islamic Republic of Iran — its people, army, and leadership — for bravely, determinedly, and faithfully confronting the brutal Zionist aggression, and for delivering blow after blow to its facilities, headquarters, and bases, relying on trust in God.”

The Armed Forces affirmed their commitment and promise to the people of Gaza and their loyal, free fighters, “until the aggression against them ends and the siege is lifted.”

Finally, the Armed Forces directed a message to the rest of the Arab and Islamic countries and peoples, saying, “Indeed, jihad is one of the gates of Paradise, opened by Allah for His chosen allies. So rise to stop the Israeli crimes against your brothers in Gaza — for what befalls them today will befall you tomorrow.”

The Yemeni Armed Forces’ hypersonic missile strike on occupied Jaffa marks a major escalation in regional tensions linked to the war on Gaza. Since late 2023, Yemen has launched multiple missile and drone attacks in solidarity with Palestinians, targeting Israeli and allied interests.

This latest operation, involving Palestine-2 hypersonic missiles, reflects growing military coordination between Yemen and Iran, especially following Iran’s direct strikes on Israel. Hypersonic weapons are harder to intercept and signal a leap in Yemen’s strike capabilities.
