Yemeni Armed Forces Strike Sensitive Saudi Military Target at Najran Airport in Response to Airspace Violation

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Tuesday that they carried out a military operation targeting a sensitive military objective inside Najran Airport in Saudi Arabia using a Yemeni drone.

Military spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree said the strike was conducted in response to Saudi drone incursions into the airspace of Yemen’s Sa’adah and Hajjah provinces, adding that the target was hit with precision.
Saree stressed that any violation of Yemen’s airspace “will not pass without response and punishment,” reaffirming the Armed Forces’ stated policy of retaliating against such actions.
The operation follows repeated Saudi drone violations of the airspace over Sa’adah and Hajjah provinces.
Yemeni military officials have warned on multiple occasions that continued reconnaissance and surveillance flights inside Yemeni territory constitute hostile acts and would be met with direct and proportional military responses against Saudi targets.
They maintain that any future airspace violations will continue to be answered under this declared deterrence policy.
