Yemen’s Armed Forces have completed the expulsion of Saudi enemy forces and their affiliated military build-ups from all areas of Jabal Habashi District in Taiz province, a military source said on Friday.
The source said the operation had been completed with divine support.
Two days earlier, a military source announced that Yemeni forces had retaken Mount Matran in Taiz from Saudi-backed forces, seizing a large quantity of military equipment, including vehicles and various types of weapons.
The source also said Yemeni forces had expelled Saudi-backed formations from Al-Silw District in the province. It further reported the death of Abdulrahman Al-Shamsani, commander of the 35th Armored Brigade, at Mount Matran.
Taiz province has remained a key front in Yemen’s conflict, with fighting focused on strategic highlands, military positions, and routes linking different parts of the province. Jabal Habashi, Mount Matran, and Al-Silw are among the areas where control of terrain and military deployments can influence movements and the balance of forces on the ground.
