The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed that the burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Zionist occupation in 1969 was not an isolated incident, but rather part of a systematic plan aimed at erasing the Arab and Islamic identity of Al-Quds and Judaizing it.
In a statement issued on the 56th anniversary of the arson of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Ministry explained that the current storming of Al-Quds, desecration of its holy sites, and excavations threatening the mosque’s foundations are merely a continuation of that crime, forming an inseparable part of a broader and more dangerous scheme known as “Greater Israel.”
The statement pointed out that the Zionist expansionist dream, recently reaffirmed by the so-called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is not mere fantasy but a roadmap being implemented on the ground—starting with land seizure in the West Bank and Al-Quds, and culminating in genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry considered the ongoing genocidal crimes in Gaza, which have claimed the lives of thousands of children and women, as a step within this criminal Zionist plan. It stressed that the Zionist entity realizes that Gaza’s steadfastness and resistance constitute the greatest obstacle to achieving its expansionist dream “from the Nile to the Euphrates.” Hence, it seeks to break the will of the Palestinian people, destroy their infrastructure, and eliminate the resistance, believing this would pave the way for total control over Palestinian lands and the fulfillment of its ambitions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Sana’a renewed its principled and unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause as the central issue of the nation, stressing that Al-Quds has always been, and will remain, the eternal capital of the State of Palestine, with no concession over any inch of its occupied land.
The statement emphasized that this stance is not mere rhetoric, but a religious, moral, and humanitarian commitment, embodied by the Yemeni Armed Forces in action on the ground.
It further affirmed that the continuation of military operations in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, and Bab al-Mandab is a natural extension of the position of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the Yemeni government, and people in support of the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza, who are facing an unprecedented genocide. It explained that Yemeni operations are an inseparable part of the nation’s battle against the Zionist enemy and will not cease until the aggression is completely stopped and the siege on Gaza is lifted.
The Republic of Yemen called on normalization regimes and those seeking free normalization with the Zionist entity to reconsider their stance and respect the will of their peoples who reject any relations with the temporary entity. It urged all free people of the world to intensify pressure on the Zionist entity to halt its crimes, affirming that resistance is the only path to restoring stolen rights and achieving victory.
