Revolution Leader: Martyr Hassan Nasrallah foiled Zionists’ attempts to instill defeatism, weakness, & frailty in nation
The Revolution Leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, extended condolences to the entire Islamic nation, to the brothers in Hezbollah and the resistance, and to the Lebanese people on the martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, his companion Sayyid Hashim Safi al-Din, and their fellow martyrs from Hezbollah.
In a speech today on the first anniversary of the martyrdom of the martyr of Islam and humanity, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, the Leader said: “A year has passed since the martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, his companion Sayyid Hashim Safi al-Din, and their great fellow martyrs, yet they remain powerfully present.”
He affirmed that Martyr Hassan Nasrallah lives on in the consciousness of the free people worldwide through his steadfast path in jihad, resistance, his just cause, and his righteous stance. He is also present through the tremendous fruits of his efforts, which nurtured a generation of mujahideen , expanded awareness , a sense of responsibility widely across the Islamic nation and globally.
He explained that the martyr of Islam and humanity is present in the major, significant, and lasting achievements that God granted him through his struggle, which became firmly established and strong after his martyrdom. He is considered one of the rare historic leaders endowed by God with exceptional capabilities for a great role and extraordinary accomplishments.
He added: “This generation witnessed and lived alongside the martyr of Islam and humanity, recognized his remarkable qualities , elevated attributes, and saw the great and distinguished role he played in confronting the Israeli enemy, serving as a safeguard for the region.”
He pointed out that the martyr of Islam and humanity stood like a towering mountain against the “New Middle East” project announced by the Americans at the time. After the great victory in the 2006 war on Lebanon, the “New Middle East” project collapsed under the feet of the Lebanese mujahideen.
He continued: “Had the Arabs fully appreciated the 2006 victory, supported it, and abandoned the conspiracies against it, the outcome would have been in favor of the nation, the results across the entire nation would have been far greater and more significant.” He emphasized that Sayyid Martyr Hassan Nasrallah has been, and remains, a real terror and nightmare for the Zionists for more than four decades.
The Leader noted that Sayyid Martyr Hassan Nasrallah instilled in the Zionist consciousness the concept of defeat after decades of easy defeats for the Arabs. His famous declaration, ‘Israel is weaker than a spider’s web,’ embedded itself in Zionist memory and became a security obsession.
He added: “The Zionists and their top leaders could not rid themselves of the fear instilled by Sayyid Nasrallah’s declaration, which proves the persistent structural weakness of the oppressive criminal entity,” clarifying that the position of Sayyid Martyr Nasrallah was exceptional in the reality of the nation.
He explained that Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah restored hope to the nation after it nearly reached a stage of despair following a series of setbacks, betrayals, and defeats. He played a pioneering and advanced role in correcting misconceptions, breaking the Jewish narrative, and foiling the Zionists’ attempts to instill defeatism, weakness, and frailty in the nation.
He said: “The enlightened words and passionate speeches of the martyr of Islam and humanity echoed a great work, immense efforts, and unprecedented achievements in contemporary history,” affirming that combined armies failed to achieve even a fraction of what Hezbollah accomplished.
He added: “Sayyid Martyr Hassan Nasrallah is well-known as a great mujahid, a seasoned political leader, and a pious scholar who spent most of his life confronting the Israeli enemy to protect Lebanon and the nation. He worked to prepare the resistance to reach a level capable of liberation and defeating the Israeli enemy.”
Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi also highlighted the most important messages, wills, and enduring words of the martyr of Islam and humanity, including his statement: ‘We do not lose; when we triumph, we triumph, and when we are martyred, we triumph. We are on the verge of a great victory, and we must not be defeated because of the fall of a great leader among us. Rather, we must carry his blood, banner, and goals forward with firm resolve and a love for meeting God.’
He touched upon the summary contained in the martyr’s speech, which must be deeply understood regarding what occurred, what was achieved, and what must be continuously pursued. He regarded what the martyr, his fellow martyrs, Hezbollah, and the resistance achieved in Lebanon and the resistance’s supportive base as great and enduring.
He noted that the liberation of 2000, achieved by God’s grace, was a historic great victory unmatched for the Arabs. Following successive defeats of Arab governments, it resulted in the expulsion of the Israeli enemy from the largest area it occupied in Lebanon.
He pointed out that the historic great victory of 2000 had global resonance and significant influence in establishing correct concepts for the nation, requiring its impact to remain present in the consciousness and awareness of the nation, reflecting the tangible results in saving Lebanon from the enemy’s entity.
The Leader considered the achievements for Lebanon and Hezbollah in 2006 a great and significant victory, with a major effect in achieving lasting deterrence for Lebanon, providing protection and stability for the Lebanese people for over 18 years—one of the most important periods of stability and security for Lebanon against the enemy.
He said, “What happened after the 2006 victory — the economic problems or attempts to stir up chaos in Lebanon — came from parties affiliated with America, where American plans were waging a media and economic war to target Hezbollah’s popular base and the resistance in order to influence the Lebanese situation.”
He affirmed that what God has granted Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance, and all their supporting base was of great importance in protecting the whole region against the Israeli threat, it is now established and has clearly manifested that the Israeli enemy is indeed targeting the entire Ummah.
He added, “The ‘Middle East’ banner that Bush raised back then is still being pursued by the Americans; it is a joint project and plan between the American and the Israeli, and the American-Israeli plan is to target the entire Ummah — its peoples and its countries without exception — which requires that responsibility remain ongoing now, and that preserving that great achievement be through a united, striving Ummah and a faithful supportive base.”
The Leader mentioned, “Hezbollah carries the banner with its leadership and mujahideen, continuing under the sincere slogan ‘We remain true to the pledge’; the mujahid Ummah of Hezbollah is not alone in the field — it is part of a striving, steadfast Ummah with continuing fronts, all with firmness, faith, and awareness.”
He continued, “Hezbollah is not alone, and it will not be left alone; it is part of an axis, part of its nation, and it is also a leader in these fronts confronting the most dangerous aggressive scheme targeting the entire Ummah, with our Islamic nation at the forefront. Reality, with all its events, developments, and the Israeli savagery that has become evident to the whole world, proves the correctness of the choice of jihad and resistance.”
He considered the option of jihad and resistance to be a necessary and wise choice because there is no alternative to it except surrender; the Islamic Ummah and humanity in the face of the Zionist scheme either move against it or surrender. He affirmed that criminals involved in the Zionist scheme act aggressively and practically — they do not even spare those who abandon them.
He explained that the criminals operating in the Zionist scheme do not spare even those of the Ummah who wanted to make peace with them; even those who wanted to normalize relations with them are not safe from danger, so the choice of jihad in the cause of God, the resistance, and confronting the Zionist scheme must be a decisive option accepted and supported by everyone.
He stressed that the option of jihad and resistance should be a motive for building and correcting the Ummah’s condition and addressing all its problems that the enemy exploits to achieve its plans, and that it should also motivate the pursuit of all elements of strength within the Ummah in terms of cooperation and pooled efforts.
Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi affirmed that raising the slogan of disarming the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine is now being posed with regard to Iran and Iranian missiles — it is an American-Israeli demand — explaining that it is natural for the American and the Israeli to try to remove any obstacle standing in the way of achieving their satanic goals aimed at dominating the Ummah.
He said, “We as an Arab and Islamic Ummah are more in need than anyone in the world to possess all types of weapons and military materiel necessary to confront the danger targeting us, especially since the Ummah is being targeted. The problem is not that we possess weapons or any element of strength; the problem is when we do not possess the weapons that deter the enemy.”
He pointed out that the weapons Hezbollah possesses are a problem for the Israeli and an obstacle to his occupying Lebanon, as are the weapons of the mujahideen in the Gaza Strip, adding, “The matter of possessing weapons should not be an issue for the Ummah such that Arab regimes step forward to carry out Israeli and American dictates.”
He noted that most countries of the world in 2024 moved to increase weapons purchases , production and to prepare large budgets for them, including major Western countries and international alliances, which sought to raise their military spending sensing the dangers as part of their national security. He indicated that, according to some statistics, global military spending is the highest since what was called the Cold War in Europe and rose by 17 percent.
The Leader identified the country with the largest military spending in the world as “America,” which spends nearly a trillion dollars, affirming that a Ummah whose homelands are occupied and targeted — and which is targeted by the Israeli enemy, the worst enemy in the world — it is shameful for anyone to say it should remain without weapons to protect it.
He attributed the sole reason for adopting the American-Israeli demand to disarm Hezbollah in Lebanon to the fact that the weapons are a fundamental obstacle to an Israeli occupation of Lebanon, pointing out that everyone knows the Lebanese army’s status is not at a level to defend and prevent Israeli occupation of Lebanon.
He noted that everyone knows the Israeli enemy invaded Lebanon up to Beirut and was pushed out because of the resistance, its weapons, and the mujahideen who acted with awareness, insight, and sacrifice.
He referred to the statements of the Eightieth United Nations General Assembly session in which there was recognition of Palestinian rights , grievances and of Israeli savagery, but described them as mere complaints without hope, and said the outcomes did not include practical positions and measures that would prevent Israeli aggression and the genocide in Gaza.
The Leader affirmed that the outcomes of the Eightieth UN session cannot protect Lebanon or Syria or any of the Ummah’s countries, considering the session’s recognition of Israeli tyranny and Palestinian rights somewhat beneficial but insufficient to avert danger, crimes, and genocide from the Ummah.
He said, “It is a shame on the United Nations to have accepted Israel as a member from the outset, and it is shameful that the stage was opened for the criminal Netanyahu to enter its hall and deliver a speech there while he is globally deemed a criminal and all countries agree he is a criminal except the American partner in the Israeli crimes.”
He continued, “Everyone knows that Netanyahu is wanted by international courts as an unjust, aggressive criminal who violates all laws, covenants, and norms,” affirming that the criminal Netanyahu boasted in his UN speech about his crimes and bragged about the most heinous atrocities and aggression against the peoples and countries of the Ummah, and in his speech he denied the daily genocide crimes that the world witnesses in various parts of the globe.
He went on to say, “With the clarity of Gaza’s suffering, the criminal Netanyahu tried to deny those facts and glorify the terrible, disgraceful Israeli crimes to the world, attempting to present his position as the correct one — a clear insistence on continuing the crimes and boasting about what he has done.”
Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi stressed the necessity of broad mobilization, practical stances, and major responsibility primarily on Muslims and others, including economic, diplomatic, and political boycott at a minimum.
He said, “At the very least, there must be an actual boycott even at the economic level and economic relations, imposing a large , real isolation on the Israeli enemy, and there must be support and backing for the fronts confronting Israeli tyranny, foremost among them Gaza, the Palestinian people, and the mujahideen in Palestine.”
He affirmed that the resistance factions in Gaza must receive support from the entire Ummah in the form of media and political backing, financial support, and all forms of assistance, as well as support for Hezbollah’s front in Lebanon instead of conspiracy, stabbing in the back, adopting aggressive American and Israeli dictates.
He added, “There must be adoption and support from the children of the Ummah of all its sects and countries for the correct choice, the right direction, and the active fronts resisting Israeli aggression.”
The Leader touched on the criminal Israeli attack carried out by the enemy entity last Thursday that targeted a correctional facility affiliated with the security and intelligence apparatus, considering it an added crime to its bloody criminal record.
He reported that the enemy’s targeting of a correctional facility affiliated with the security and intelligence service is a failed step and a continuation of criminality that will not affect the stance of the Yemeni people, affirming that “our dear people went out yesterday by the millions on Friday to confirm their steadfast stance and continuation of their jihad.”
He continued, “We remain committed to the option of jihad , confronting Israeli tyranny , the Zionist onslaught on our Ummah and the region, we continue to confront the Israeli enemy and oppose it as it commits genocide against the Palestinian people.”
He concluded his speech by saying, “We are steadfast and our stance continues and, God willing, will escalate in support of the Palestinian people and in standing with all the free people of our Ummah in the axis of jihad, Al-Quds, and resistance. Our stance continues in standing with all the free people of the Ummah and all the free worldwide who stand against Zionist tyranny,” affirming that Zionist tyranny, genocide, and crimes constitute a danger to all humanity.
