The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced today, Saturday, that the number of journalists martyred since the beginning of the Israeli genocide against the Strip has risen to 252, following the killing of journalist Mohammed Al-Dayeh, who worked at the Palestinian Information Center.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the office strongly condemned the deliberate targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists by the Israeli entity.
It called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists, and all journalistic bodies worldwide to denounce these systematic crimes against Palestinian journalists and media professionals in Gaza.
The office held the Israeli enemy, along with the U.S. administration and other states complicit in the genocide—such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and France—fully responsible for committing these heinous atrocities.
It further urged the international community, relevant international organizations, and media-related bodies worldwide to condemn Israel’s crimes, deter it, pursue it in international courts for its ongoing atrocities, and bring its war criminals to justice.
The office also called for serious and effective pressure to stop the genocide, protect journalists and media professionals in Gaza, and put an end to their systematic killing and assassination.
