Satellite images have revealed that the “Israeli” army has destroyed hundreds of buildings in the area it controls in the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire on October 10.
The BBC reported on Wednesday that “Israel” has destroyed more than 1,500 buildings in the area it controls within the Gaza Strip beyond the “yellow line” since the ceasefire.
Based on satellite images, the network stated that entire neighborhoods under Israeli army control were razed to the ground in less than a month through intensive demolition operations, noting that the number of destroyed buildings could be much higher.
On October 10, the Israeli army withdrew from deep within the Gaza Strip governorates to what is known as the “yellow line,” as stipulated in the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
According to the maps published showing the withdrawal lines, the Israeli army will retain control of approximately 50% of the Gaza Strip until the second phase of the agreement is implemented.
Based on the “yellow line,” residents of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, the eastern areas of Khan Younis Governorate, eastern Gaza City, and the towns of Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip have been unable to return to their homes.
Furthermore, the “Israeli” army maintains fire control over other areas beyond the withdrawal lines, in clear violation of the agreement.
