The Ministry of Information condemns the actions of some social media platforms, particularly “Facebook,” for banning and shutting down a large number of Yemeni accounts and pages that are anti-Zionist.
In a statement, the Ministry affirmed that “these repeated hostile measures will not succeed, and the enemy will not be able to silence our voices or conceal the truth. All such conspiracies will fail in the face of our people’s awareness—a people who have steadfastly confronted even harsher hostile measures in the media and all other fields over many years. At every stage, with God’s grace and support, they emerge stronger, more insightful, and more influential across all domains.”
The Ministry clarified that these hostile actions are clearly backed by the United States and Israel, as part of their preparations for the next round of aggression against our people after failing to deter them from supporting Gaza. The Ministry added that these measures aim to clear social media platforms of free voices, coinciding with intensive enemy campaigns to distort and demonize our people due to their honorable stance in support of the Palestinian people over the past two years, and to isolate them from regional and global sympathy.
The Ministry emphasized that the U.S., the Zionists, and their tools have failed in the media war against the Yemeni people, which is why they are now resorting to shutting down Yemeni accounts and attempting to silence Yemen’s voice on social media platforms. This, the Ministry noted, exposes their inability to confront our people in this arena, considering it clear testimony to the effectiveness and impact of our blessed jihadi media front.
The Ministry called on free voices around the world and all entities concerned with protecting freedoms, rights, and journalism to condemn these hostile measures. It also urged all free voices to support the Yemeni people in conveying their message to the world and to thwart the Zionist-American attempts to silence Yemeni voices and impose media blackouts.
The Ministry added, “We affirm that we will not remain silent, nor will we stand idly by in the face of this aggression. We will work with the relevant authorities to take appropriate measures, relying on God and placing our trust in Him.”
