Revolutionary Leader: Our hands are on trigger regarding escalation & military action whenever developments require it
The Revolutionary Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, renewed Yemen’s support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian Muslim people in the face of what he described as blatant American and Israeli aggression.
In his Ramadan lecture marking the anniversary of the Battle of Badr and addressing the developments of the U.S.–Israeli aggression against Iran, he said: “We are active in various fields, and our hands are on the trigger regarding escalation and military action whenever developments require it. We consider this battle to be the battle of the entire Ummah.”
He pointed out that this year’s anniversary of the Battle of Badr coincides with the Islamic nation facing a heated confrontation with what he called the tyrants of the age — the Zionist Jews — stressing that the United States and Israel are the tyrants of this era who target the Islamic nation and lead all forces of disbelief, polytheism, and hypocrisy against it.
He added that the tyrants of the age are directly targeting the region through unjust aggression, from Palestine to Lebanon, alongside continued violations in Syria, what they have done against Yemen, and their comprehensive criminal aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He explained that tomorrow, Friday, the 17th of Ramadan — the anniversary of the Battle of Badr, which the Qur’an called the “Day of Criterion” — represents a historic moment that strengthened the foundations of Islam, truth, and justice, and delivered a major strategic defeat to the forces of tyranny and disbelief.
He described the Battle of Badr as a great and important historical event in the history of the Islamic nation and a turning point for Muslims and oppressed peoples before and after it.
The Revolutionary Leader noted that the anniversary of the Battle of Badr this year, amid current events, is one of the most important inspiring historical milestones that the nation needs as it faces dangers.
He stressed that a key lesson for the Muslim nation — whose fundamental rights are being denied — is to remain a free and independent nation based on its Islamic identity and belonging to Islam.
He also affirmed that diplomatic options, resorting to the United Nations, and relying on the enemies have been tried repeatedly without success, while other options that exclude jihad cannot establish truth or defeat falsehood in the face of the enemies’ offensive and their “satanic goals.”
Al-Houthi said talk by enemies about cooperation and shared interests for global stability is merely illusions, stressing that Israel and the powers of global arrogance give no value to international law, United Nations charters, or humanitarian norms.
He stated that the enemies seek to tighten control over the Islamic nation, strip it of its major rights, and treat it as spoils, while imposing a reality of killing, genocide, various crimes in order to plunder and exploit its resources.
He added that the enemies work to erase everything related to the nation’s freedom , dignity and distort its Islamic identity and sanctities, noting that their daily criminal practices clearly reveal their true nature.
He said that the crimes committed in Gaza over the past two years demonstrate the extent of Zionist criminality.
The Revolutionary Leader stated that the enemies attempt to mislead the nation regarding its loyalties and hostilities, while the Qur’an directs the compass of jihad toward the criminals.
He reiterated that the number-one enemy of the nation is the Jews and the global Zionist movement, along with the United States, Israel, and those who support them.
He said the enemies came to the region from distant lands to commit crimes and aggression, noting that Zionist Jews gathered in Palestine to occupy it as part of their expansionist project to dominate the region.
Al-Houthi stressed that the enemies are carrying out an assault on the Muslim nation with the aim of humiliating it, occupying its lands, and looting its resources.
He said the daily actions of Zionists in Palestine since the beginning of the occupation — especially what has occurred in Gaza over the past two years — clearly demonstrate their crimes and the impossibility of coexistence with such aggression.
He also referred to the “Epstein scandal” as one of the scandals revealing hidden aspects of Zionist influence, adding that U.S. and Israeli leaders openly speak about reshaping the Middle East and establishing “Greater Israel.”
He accused Israel of attempting to impose unjust decisions and replace divine guidance with the dictates of Israeli leaders.
He said the Israeli aggression in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, the West Bank, and Al-Quds — as well as the attack on Iran — aims at achieving what he described as the goal of controlling the Middle East.
He noted that the Zionists view the Iranian people as a major obstacle due to their capabilities and therefore seek to remove them in pursuit of their regional objectives.
Al-Houthi described the current confrontation as a struggle between Islam and disbelief, truth and falsehood, the oppressed and the aggressors.
He said the United States and Israel initiated an unjust aggression against a Muslim nation and accused them of attempting to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader and overthrow the Islamic system — attempts he said would fail.
He called on the Muslim nation to recognize its responsibility and stand alongside the Iranian people.
He praised the Iranian people and their role in supporting Gaza and strengthening the nation, while criticizing the official inaction of many Arab and Islamic governments.
He said many regional crises stem from the failure to support the Palestinian people and Gaza.
He accused some governments not only of remaining passive but also of assisting in intercepting missiles and drones targeting Israel.
He added that some governments are focusing their efforts on protecting American bases that participated in aggression against Iran.
According to al-Houthi, the United States and Israel are trying to draw Arab governments into direct participation in the war against Iran.
He warned that any Arab regime that betrays Islam and Muslims will face failure and disgrace.
He stated that American bases in Arab countries exist primarily to protect Israel and to launch aggression against the peoples of the region.
He also said normalization with Israel has led some countries into deeper risks and crises.
He described Iran’s position as strong both officially and popularly, praising the actions of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and army.
He said U.S. personnel had fled to hotels from military bases and some were leaving the region in fear.
He also praised the actions of Hezbollah in Lebanon and armed groups in Iraq, saying their operations against Israel continue day and night.
He warned that Israel is preparing for further conflicts by gathering intelligence targets, securing Arab funding, and replenishing weapons stockpiles.
He stressed that the nation should not accept what he described as an “open war” imposed by the enemy and should respond accordingly.
He concluded by expressing confidence in the eventual demise of the “Zionist entity” and urged the Yemeni people to participate in mass demonstrations on Friday to commemorate the anniversary of the Battle of Badr.
He called on Yemenis to mobilize in large numbers to reaffirm their commitment to the Islamic position in what he described as the struggle against American and Israeli tyranny.
