Iran warns: Targeting our ports will make all ports in region legitimate targets

Iran warned on Wednesday that any threat to its ports and maritime facilities would be met with a response targeting ports and docks in the region.

The Fars News Agency quoted Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff, as saying that any threat to or targeting of Iranian ports and maritime docks would be met with a direct response.

Shekarchi added, “If our ports and maritime docks are threatened, all ports and docks in the region will become legitimate targets for us.”

He indicated that the Iranian Armed Forces are closely monitoring security developments in the region, emphasizing that his country will not compromise in protecting its maritime interests and vital infrastructure.

On Saturday morning, February 28, the United States and Israel launched a new aggression against Iran, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of civilians and targeting schools, hospitals, mosques, and other assets of the Iranian people.

In response to the aggression, Iran launched Operation “True Promise 4” against the Zionist entity and American bases in the region.
