Revolutionary Leader: ‘We Are Not Neutral, Will Escalate if US-Israeli Aggression Resumes’

The Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, warned of a likely return of US-Israeli aggression against Iran and the Axis of Resistance, affirming the current truce as fragile and nearing its end, with a high possibility of renewed escalation.

In a speech delivered on Tuesday marking the anniversary of the “Sarkha in the Face of the Arrogant” for the year 1447 AH, he reaffirmed Yemen’s declared stance against the ongoing American-Israeli aggression targeting the region, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He said: “We have announced a clear position— we are not neutral, and we are in confrontation with the Israeli enemy and its American partner. Our direction is escalation if the enemy resumes escalation.”

He added that even if the truce remains in place, further rounds of conflict are expected, as it represents only a temporary pause in an ongoing struggle. He also emphasized the importance of confronting the “soft war,” noting that it works alongside military confrontation by targeting the Ummah’s culture, awareness, and identity.

The Leader called on the media front to actively counter the Zionist schemes, alongside economic, cultural, educational, and political arenas, stressing the need for comprehensive societal readiness to confront enemy activities and plots in all fields.

He further highlighted the extensive focus of the Israeli enemy and its American and British partners on implementing a “Zionist project,” urging greater attention to their movements and global networks.

He warned against Muslim neglect of the organized efforts to reshape the region under projects such as the so-called “Greater Israel” and “New Middle East,” which aim to dismantle and control the region, suppress its independence, and erase its religious and cultural identity.

He praised researchers, academics, and media figures who work to expose these alleged projects, calling for expanding such efforts and encouraging university and political activists to take a leading role.

He concluded by stating that many of the enemy’s strategies rely on “domestication and misdirection,” which facilitate infiltration across intelligence, political, and military spheres, asserting that the ultimate goal is internal penetration and control of the region’s decision-making and armed forces.

The speech comes in the context of continued regional escalation and heightened confrontation between the Axis of Resistance and the US-Israeli enemy, amid warnings that the current period of calm remains temporary and unstable.
