Nasser Seraj, Secretary of the Iranian Human Rights Committee, announced that 383 children were killed in the recent 40-day Israeli-American aggression against Iran. Among the dead were seven children under one year old, 255 children between the ages of one and 12, and 121 children between the ages of 12 and 18. He added that 2,115 children were injured, including 70 children under the age of two.
The Iranian news agency IRNA reported on Monday that this announcement came in a letter Seraj sent to UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell, expressing his regret over the inaction of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) during the Israeli-American aggression against Iran.
