Deputy Foreign Minister Discusses Areas of Joint Cooperation with Iranian Ambassador in Sana’a

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, discussed today with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sana’a, Ali Mohammed Rezaei, areas of cooperation between Yemen and Iran, foremost among them breaking the siege imposed on Yemen.

During the meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister expressed his deepest condolences on the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, noting that the Islamic nation has lost, with his martyrdom, a great leader and a symbol of resistance and support for the oppressed.

He once again expressed his congratulations to the Islamic Republic of Iran on the occasion of the historic victory, and to the Axis of Jihad and Resistance for the great victory achieved in confronting the arrogant tyrant of the age, noting that Iran’s victory confirms that the option of jihad and resistance is the best and most effective choice.

Abu Ras praised the step taken by the Islamic Republic of Iran to break the siege imposed on Sana’a International Airport, which embodies the depth of the historical and fraternal relations binding the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.

He noted that the Yemeni people have made their decision to end the aggression and siege imposed on them for 11 years and to reclaim their legitimate rights, affirming the principle of the unity of arenas, which will be translated into practical and tangible paths at all levels, including the humanitarian and political levels.

For his part, the Iranian Ambassador in Sana’a expressed appreciation for Yemen’s supportive stance towards Iran and the Axis of Resistance, affirming Iran’s standing by Yemen in its efforts to end the aggression and siege, establish peace, and end the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people.
